In seara zilei de 26 iulie 2007, nava Multi Trader, sub pavilion cambodgian, incarcata cu materiale de constructii(cherestea), s-a scufundat in apropierea statiunii Venus.
Cauza naufragiului a ramas necunoscuta. Cei sase membri ai echipajului au reusit sa se salveze, vasul scufundandu-se inainte ca echipele de salvare sa ajunga la locul naufragiului. Epava se afla pe un fund de 36 de metri.
